I feel like out of all the JRPGs to come out this generation (besides Final Fantasy) Ni no Kuni probably had the best chance of reaching a big audience. I know a lot of people that bought the game just because it looked like Ghibli films (which are distributed by Disney in the States and lots of people have seen). If I was Namco, I don't know what other JRPG I would have given priority to over Ni no Kuni that didn't end up getting localized. That game ended up selling relatively well ...
Having imported the game, I can tell you the game is freaking amazing. So gorgeous and fun to play. I can only hope it sells gangbusters because this is my favorite genre of games. I know I'll be doing all I can to help promote it and spread the word!
Guilty :)
I probably should have done a Top 20! So many good songs that didn't make the cut.
A reasonable person on the internet!? The world truly is coming to an end!
It's pretty obvious you've never looked at the site before and are just saying what everyone else in the thread is saying.
I contribute videos to Blistered Thumbs and know the writer personally. This isn't a grab for hits, trust me. All the writers are volunteers that write because they love games. "Trolling for hits" wouldn't benefit them in any way. This isn't that kind of site.
Also, 5/10 on BT is considered "Average" on their scale, not terrible. Plus, how do you guys even know if it's good or not? Have you played the game? It's not even out yet.
I think those complaints are legit. When you hear the title "PlayStation AllStars" you expect Crash, Spyro, Snake, Sora, Cloud you know...characters that helped make the PlayStation brand what it is today.
If a game doesn't meet expectations, through whatever means, cancelling pre-orders is fine. You don't want to spend $60, a lot of money for some people, on something that isn't going to to satisfy you.
If other characters are planned...
Whoops, misread Shuhei's statement!
Sid Shuman works at Sony Santa Monica, who's helping develop the game, so that's a pretty strong word.
In Japanese it loosely translates to "Heart & Soul." That's the kind of games I want to discuss on the show, Japanese games with heart and soul.
Intro is a bit cheese haha, but thanks for watching =D
Sorry, I'm new to the site. Would I post this under the "News" category then?
The game's been in development for nearly a decade. There's plenty of people that don't know all the details. Seems like a worthwhile retrospective IMO.
