Call me crazy but Im pretty sure it happens with lots of games, maybe look at the backlash Assassins Creed or Madden get on a yearly basis.
@Utalkin2me One of the worst of the big devs? Activision has a 67, EA has a 72, Ubisoft has 68. Bethesda catches a lot of slack but they put out consistently good games and arent nickling and diming you like the others with micro-transactions and roster/skin updates.
