With BL2's success a sequel is a no-brainer at this point.
The sad thing is that the Vita isn't realizing its full potential and gamers are already dubbing trash because of a lackluster first year. Does that ring the bell? PS3 anyone?
Yeah Nintendo never has hardware problems but there can always be a first time. As for the HDD what axelstone said below pretty much says how I feel on the topic.
These are just some rules I for when buying a new console. Why get it now when it hasn't yet reached its highpoint?

In tech and power smartphones will probably have the Vita beat, but there's much more to it than just that. Have you ever tried playing deep action and shooter games in a phone? The on screen controls are awful! Unless a device is made for gaming like the Vita and 3DS it won't be the same experience.
Phones only work well with short arcade-style minigames like Angry Birds or Tilt to Live. Other games like Battlefield and such are unplayable on smart...
And yet they won't play nearly as well as consoles or the Vita do
And that is because of a few reasons:
1)Good 3D displays are too expensive
2) A lot of people either just got HDTVs and/or are still happy with their HDTVs
3)The 3D craze wore off
4)People don't like headaches

They will all be aiming for photo-realism and will probably be getting really close, so I think it'll come down to performance over graphics.
