They will both sell well, but the Xbone is not even in the ps4's stratosphere when it comes to demand atm.
The demand is crazy for the ps4 right now. I don't see them catching up with demand anytime soon. There are no ps4's in stores; it's crazy.

I grew up with Mario and I can't play it longer that 20 minutes. It isn't a bad game at all; I'm just grown now. Many people like me have outgrown Nintendo long ago. And your reference to Disney isn't all the way accurate. Disney also make movies that cater to the mature audience like the Marvel movies. Nintendo needs Mature content alongside their normal franchises.
It isn't our faults, it's Nintendo's. Nintendo is failing to grow with their fan. Yes Mario and Zelda are great games, but their fans crave more. You just can't release the same type of games every gen and not create new ones or get 3rd party games. As gamers get older, they move on to consoles that they feel are more mature and fit their taste.
I really hope Nintendo gets it together with the WiiU.

Is that why ps4 sold a million in 24 hours? I'd say the demand is higher than the xbone. Why is it so hard to believe a console that's more powerful for less money to have more demand than the competition?
PS4 would have more than likely sold more than Xbone in those regions also. Sony has Zero stock atm; they're struggling with meeting demand while MS has tons of console on the shelves.
After all these sells, Sony still hasn't caught up with demand. They will be at about 10 million before demand is met.

The PS vita is console gaming on the go with remote play to the ps4. That's quite impressive.
