I dont think not cartoony = not unique. There were quite a few unique things about it. It has a call of duty flavor that is present in many moments that make it its own thing. The audio is far superior even though a few tweaks will be needed. The zombies were really fun. I know other games have that but its still felt nice how COD set it up. Kind of seems like you didnt play it but oh well.
Its a matter of taste really. I dont like cartoony shooters. I gave fortnite a try for a couple weeks and while I dont have any real complaints, I just didnt find it very fun. It was more of, "I guess I'll play one more match" while with blackout I was going to bed way too late because I would play one more match 17 times. I must of played a different PUBG because I thought that game was ugly looking but hmm maybe they have updated it since the last time I played about 6 months ago. I’m unsure just because I’m not into sequels and I’ve gotten to eat a lot of the rock star formula in my life and I’m full. It’s gonna have cool groundbreaking features but at its core it’s another rockstar game and I’m retired from those.
