But they don't have to. I can't understand how no console has been able to deliver a quality MMO (with the exeption of FFXI). If a console MMO was released with all of the things that are good about a PC MMO, then it would be one helluva game.

Sorry, PoG. But that DOES make a difference.The fact that the MGS4 PS3 bundles are still selling out and experiencing shortages are proof of 2 things.
1. MGS4 IS a system seller
2. People want PS3

But I want to talk about the Wii's online play.
Now I support the Wii more than the other 2 consoles. But I have to say, the Wii's online is by far 3rd place this generation.
There's no voice chat. My games against my friends on Mario Kart Wii / Smash Bros are constantly being dropped. There's lag all over the place. And the Friend Code system is inexcusable.
The Online gaming is terrible right now. I mean, even the DS has Voice-Chat for some games...
