The Xbox one has a 2x speed bluray player installed, just like the PS3 did. It doesn't load info as fast as a 12x DVD drive which is why both require installs. MS went with a lot of cheap components this gen to cut costs, but it really shows when it comes to gameplay.
Commercial success has everything to do with it. The more people that pick it up, the more games and success the system will have. Thats why you never got to play the Dreamcast's successor.
I just want this game to play like the original Spider-Man 2 for the PS2. I don't know why companies don't see that so many people want this in a Spider-Man game when it's the most asked for feature.

Nintendo won't drop the WiiU until it's had a fair shot at succeeding. When I first got my 3ds, it had the same feeling as the WiiU does now... empty and boring. I recently bought a new 3dsXL and it's a great ecosystem to play in. So much has changed and I'm loving every second of it.
The WiiU is a little ways away from crossing that same gap to create a fun atmosphere to play in. More and compelling must have games, a price drop, and a little kick in the mark...
Never say never. The ps3 had an equal price difference with the 360 last gen and they finally outsold the compitition.
I'm just glad that each company is doing well so that the gaming industry as a whole can continue to succeed. Without competition, the industry will become stale.
I expect that this trend will continue since they're about to release in Japan, which will create even more demand, and even more shortages.

I have both and honestly, the PS4 is the better machine. The voice command feature on the Xbox is nice, but it doesn't recognize your voice unless you halfway yell at the TV and I've tried to tweak it via settings many times. If they had added a mic onto the controller itself like the PS4, this might not be such a problem.
Microsoft did themselves and us a disservice by adding all of these things that only half work or are only there to justify their failed business ...

This is a good thing. I was hoping they would increase the amount of reserved OS ram for the simple reason that devss won't need more than 5 gigs for quite a while. It gives the ps4 some growing room and helps future proof the console for a while. This generation you saw a lack of ram being a hindrance to the ps3 and X-game chat. They can always allocate more ram for games in the future, but they can't take it away once a game actually reserves it.

This is a sad day for gamers. Microsoft is proving that gamers don't give a damn if a company screws them over and puts gaming in the backseat. Console gaming is about to shift to cater toward the casual from all markets, and hardcore gaming will become a thing of the past. Paying a subscription to get online and being force fed ads will be standard, all the while people will gladly take it and ask for more. Thanks, anyone that buys this poor excuse for a console.
I don't remember it being that bad. The only thing that I hated was the lack of customizable controls and that pretty much ruined it for me. If there's no vertical inversion, count me out.
That's exactly what we need. Sony to get out of the gaming business so that M$ will have a monopoly on the console market.... Great idea. I was going to get one, but after reading this, assuming that it's true, I def won't get a WiiU if it's friend system is anything remotely like the Wii's pile of dog shit friend code garbage.
The problem with with PS+ is that you're having to pay 4$ a month to rent the game forever. I personally would rather spend 60$, play it for a week, then turn around and sell it for 13$ credit towards another game that ill do the same thing with, in about a weeks time.
PS+ is such a waste of money.
I wouldnt say that theyre OP compared to marvel characters at all. each universe has someone that does pretty much the exact same thing as the other and capcom did it successfully with MvC1-3
I consider myself a "real gamer", own all 3 consoles and a gaming PC and I definitely wouldn't recommend an xbone to another "real gamer". All gamers know that the ps4 is the most diverse console to have if you want to play the most unique and diverse range of games, outside of the PC.
