Really hard comparison. Kojima is more about game design, story, characters. Carmack is more about the tech, game engines, programming.

The only real thing that made Halo M rated was the flood (and Halo CE had a lot of blood splatters and that scene when Chief punched Keyes in the face), how ODST, Reach, and 4 were rated M, IDK.
