I really like what they're doing here in terms of messaging. They're basically indicating the eventual existence of the PS5 next gen console by saying that these two new consoles will be extending the life of the current PS4. I'm assuming the PS4 generation will be around for 3 more years before it's replaced by the PS5.

I understand what you're saying but I think part of their thinking is that they'll get to restart and come up with their own economic and trade policies; policies that have less regulation than what the EU imposes which could lead to more innovation, more trade, more jobs, just overall a more free market. But yes, initially, it looks like it could be rough.
I just find it annoying that Microsoft seems to be obsessed with getting games to run at 4k. I think their focus should be on getting their games to run at 1080/60, at a minimum. 1440/60 would be nice too. 1080p still looks great, especially when running at a high frame rate.
