- Realistic physics
- 1080p at 60fps
- 16 cars on track
- Realistic looking weather
and finally...
- REALISTIC PHYSICS + 1080P AT 60FPS + 16 CARS ON TRACK + WEATHER, ALL AT THE SAME FRIGGIN' TIME
Once PGR4 does that, the you have a point. Until then...

Did it ever occur to you that the level of visual/mechanical damage users will experience will be adjustable by the user?
Nah, too logical for you ey?
When it's November 4th in Australia it's still November 3rd in the US, so I guess they didn't want us Aussies to get it a day earlier. Fair enough. November 4th it is!
For people having trouble seeing it:
I thought Joe Danger was going to XBLA and PC anyways. I thought that's what they're planning to do now that it's finally done. Didn't know it was exclusive. Is it?
You used Yahoo Answers? Really? People asking questions to random strangers? And the Youtube videos are so fake.
Add to that the fact that half your links seem to work against your case, and you fail big time.
For example, one of your Yahoo Answer links:
"Q: How scratch proof is blue ray?
A: Blu-Ray discs are incredibly resistant to scratches, but not scratch-proof. For instance, I can rub a PS3 game disc on the edge of my store&...
GT5 will be locked at 60fps as well, with better visual quality to boot.
Good job critiquing pre-sale, off-cam video game-play as well.
Here's some information straight off GT Planet:
- You will be able to race by NASCAR’s specific rules. The article describes the NASCAR crashes as “truly epic” yet still “artful in Yamacuhi’s universe”.
- NASCAR pit crew’s actions have been specifically re-created.
- NASCAR insisted that all of their series’ cars be playable on all circuits in the game.
- It was previously mentioned that only 9 NASCAR cars will be included, but this was incorrect. ...
They can afford to, and here's why:
- Sony drop the price to $199 just in time for the release of Move and 3D.
- Sony promote purchasing 3DTVs and Move with the new low priced PS3.
- Sony release GT5 (and other games) with 3D and Move support at the same time (and implement it into popular older titles such as MLB10).
- Sony sell a bunch of Move's and 3DTVs at a profit and recoup the loss (and most likely more) on the PS3.
- Sony sell...
Perfection takes time, half baked sequels take 2 years or less it seems.
Also, I guess by that logic the following games are taking or have taken too long as well:
Test Drive Unlimited 2 (4 years in development)
Blur (3 years in development)
Mario Kart sequel
Any hardcore racing sims (have been on the market for years now)
They're both for GT PSP :/
GT5 won't have any pre-order bonuses at least until it's announced!
Welcome to Economics 101. As demand increases so too do prices. Distinction.
Uh ... no. It's three categories:
1. Kart racers (ie MK)
2. Simulation racers (ie GT)
3. arcade racers (ie NFS)
Split/Second and Blur fall into the third category, with both featuring a little bit of category 1.
One is the Criterion open-world "Underground/Most Wanted/Carbon" style NFS for consoles/PC, one's the free-to-play NFS MMO for the PC, and the final one is a sequel to NFS:Shift, a competitor to Forza/GT5 for consoles/PC.
Essentially EA wants to combat all corners of the racing market.
Yeah well done there buddy. Pick on the smallest most insignificant thing I stated, and ignore my main argument as a whole. Well done.
I even praised Halo. And you even stated a year where multiple new games were released (2009)! God you guys confuse me sometimes. So illogical.
Forza 1 released just after GT4 released, and was a slightly better game than GT4 was (in terms of gameplay alone). Forza 3 released last year. GT5 will release this year.
The difference between Forza 3 and Forza 1 is substantial, but the difference between GT5 and Forza 1 or GT4 will be even bigger than that of Forza 3's comparison.
Are you telling me if Turn 10 had one extra year (2010, like PD), Forza 3 would be better than what GT5 is shaping up to be? I somehow...
In different genres it's a different situation. Take Halo for an example. The series has multiple new games every year and they're usually quit well handled. Resistance 2 was a fine game, and a huge change from R:FoM. Uncharted 2 ... yeah, 150+ awards says it all.
However in racing games, it's like this:
NFS releases every year and it's a glitchy bug fest every god damn time. Forza releases every 2 years and it's a minor improvement every time. GT releases every 3-5 years a...
