Yeah I know what you mean, I actually work in this industry (games journalism) and I've never understood the adverse reactions some people give to games. Yes I understand its an interactive medium that is a bit harder to detach ones self from than say movies. However, I'd like to hope our gaming community is capable of discerning real and make-believe (which we can) and understand when's the right place for social commentary.
You can play solo offline, but there is no direct campaign or couch co-op integration. Otherwise it's all online.
I really disagree with Bioshock being on this list. The idea of killing a kid is meant to be horrid because it's supposed to reflect you becoming more like the Adam crazed enemies you are fighting. It's about losing what humanity you have for a quick escape and jolt of power rather than waiting.

I think its a bit different. Obviously, no one is directly entitled to receive a review copy, it's the same idea with going to press screenings with movies or for tv. No one's job says "Must acquire early," but a lot of the time it helps us take the time to play through the game properly and convey facts and opinions that readers would want to know.

It's a weird line tbh. Because even in film for say animated movies voice actors are usually second to the actual animation.
