I get the impression that you don't recalibrate your display after you enable full range colour. My samsung hdtv looks so much better with full range on. I highly recommend proper display calibration.
I always thought the console hardware was yours to do with as you please. I mean, if I were to remove sony's system software and write my own,(as much of a pain as that would be) I'd expect sony would not have ground to take legal action. Obviously this is just my assumtion.
I disagree. Anything less than native resolution should be considered unacceptable, and by current standards that's 1920x1080.
All those used games were sold new at some point, so devs/publishers already got paid for that product.
Meh! Co-op was alright in the first Half Life, and I won't mind if they do it for Half Life 3.
I would like to point out that the stealth cars I got with my signature edition work fine in every other account on my PS3.
I don't see why this DLC should be any different.
I prefer to think of those terms as states of play rather then types of gamers. Gran Turismo is considered hardcore, but I can play it casually, flower is considered casual, but I can play it hardcore (to an extent).
I also feel that games should not be designed to be hardcore or casual specifically, for example, Gran Turismo was not designed to be hardcore, it was designed to be an awesome driving experience and flower was not designed to be casual, it was designed to be a ...
I disagree. I hated the cardboard cutout destruction featured in the bad company series, I mean, sure it did the job (to an extent) but it just looked like crap (not necessarily referring to graphics). Maybe I just play too much Red Faction.
I'd much prefer a real clan system and proxy chat (like on PS2) as opposed to limited destruction.
They've already been paid. After all, a used game is a new game that's been sold.
Why do people keep saying this? A transfer of ownership to one person from another is NOT the same as producing new copies.
Every used game was new at some point, so publishers have no right to complain.
They already got paid.
Why not just type PS1? The PSX was a DVR released after the PS2
Actually, the size of the dead zone for the original controls in KILLZONE 2 was quite reasonable. It may even be smaller to the dead zone used for the "high precision" controls. What people don't seem to realize is that the slowest possible aiming speed is actually really slow (even at max sensitivity), so slow that it becomes difficult to notice the screen moving. If you look close you should be able to observe details (e.g. the frames on the lights) shifting from pixel to pixe...
Hardcore is about kicking ass. The hardcore gamer gets really good really fast. The controls are tuned for efficiency, the equipment is finely calibrated. It's about one shot for one or more kills, friendly fire is on, no assistance like auto aim or active stability, the dificulty is set to max just for fun. They don't give up or die easy.
It's all about kicking ass.
