If your receiver has HDMI you can run all your sources to the receiver then run one HDMI to your TV. That's how I have mine set up. My receiver is pretty old too. I have to run HDMI for video and optical for audio.
I highly doubt they are going to release a separate disc when they can just update the game via download.

You are way off, Born. Every gamer I know has a full surround sound set up. As a matter of fact, I only know one person that doesn't have a surround set up. My mother in law. She mostly watches soap operas and would know good sound if it bit her on the ass.
