Interesting ideas. But parts of the article don't make sense...
Apologies for the delay,
I realize some of my comments may come across as being very polarized, but in truth I am quite indifferent on the topic.
As the the author I would like to make some points clear:
-I have no problem with the picture, nor the context from which it came (the game). Tweeting the pic is not a big deal, but it is obvious that enough people took offence to the association with cleavage day for Lionhead to consider removing it.
-My opinion ...
If it was 'National Expose Your Male Genitals Day' and Lionhead had a big picture of a dong from Fable 2 would you still be laughing?
The term that defines this problem is called a double standard...
The foaming jugs were not really the problem, it was more that they tried use it in conjunction with 'cleavage day', which is an overtly sexist marketing ploy in and of itself, in order to gain publicity.
It's just poor form...
I wanted elaborate more on New IP vs borrowed IP, but there isn't much to go on without a few weeks of sales data to back it up. Off the top of my head I couldn't think of any comparable spins-offs that exhibited a better or worse scenario...
I'm writing that article as we speak...
Ghosting is a good idea...
You're lucky! I'm sure it depends where you are and what server you end up on...I could play during the day but the first 3 nights of prime-time were unplayable...couldn't even get online.
I totally agree with you there...I'm not I sure I understand the server overloading though. You would think with all that capital they could rent extras servers for the DLC launch?
Good points! I would love some feedback on my article for changes to Destiny 2
I'm a new user so check my profile to see it. Thx!
I'm with you there
I wrote this article because I feel like there is a lot of obsession with the details in Destiny that realistically wont be fixed.
But if enough people talk about more big picture stuff Bungie will hopefully make some moves that will really make the sequel shine!
Okay so to address a few comments:
- The Beta experience was nothing like the game, in fact the game has completely changed since launch and is likely change more over the next few months. The overall experience has been consistently improving for the last year.
- Don't expect ESO to be Skyrim. Although Zenimax is doing its best to get closer with each update, there are certain sandbox elements that are a signature of the elder scrolls series that are impossible to put int...
