I think what you're missing is that it has the game play of halo, and the RPG-ness of WoW. its a PERFECT combination when played with friends and guildies. It will be massively fun. I think the only people who will be disappointed are:
1. Gaming hipsters who cant enjoy anything with hype.
2. People who play alone or with gaming hipsters.
3. People who were hoping the PvP was going to be ground breaking.
i agree with you entirely. people were hellbent on hating that game ever since "downgrade-gate". The game still looked great, and played unlike anything before it.
i havent had this much fun in a co-op shooter in a really really long time. Playing alone? yeah, rather play borderlands. Playing with friends? Destiny takes the cake.
I guess i should clarify. The visuals, i understand your point. There however, has never been an open world game like that where you can interact with your environment on that level. It was like GTA on speed. freaking awesome. all of the games you listed have not come out yet, and are only impressive VISUALLY. I said, "felt like a next gen game". big difference.
i loved watch dogs... probably one of the best next gen games so far. and actually felt like a next gen game.
the 7 day rental is great. the rest, IMO are kind of silly.
so, i wonder, what would make this a better pool game? calling it near perfect and then awarding it a mid 8 is kind of odd to me.
EA access is NOT a streaming service.
in all fairness, the last of us is pretty freaking great.
one is a hyper limited poor mans PS+ for about the same price, and the other is useful.
im going to blindly buy every game that supports the morpheus
you're missing the point entirely. The whole point of PSNow is to allow people WITHOUT a ps3 to play playstation 3, 2, 1 games. PS+ is more of a comparison to EAA, and PS+ murders it. You have to look at the long term game plan, and try to decide where you want to end up as a gamer. Do you want to end up not being able to buy used games anymore? Do you want all games to be digital only? No option to trade games with friends? You realize the reason XB1 is being stomped into the dirt is be...
EA's proposition is terrible, and only furthers EA's digital only future that removes game ownership. Sony is ultimately offering a rental service to customers who potentially dont have a game system.
millions of people throw money at betas every day. ever seen Farmville before? Mobsters? Mafia Wars? ANY game on facebook? yep. All betas. Source: I worked for one of these gaming companies before.
I tried the service last night, after being highly skeptical from hearing all of this bashing. My experience:
I immediately saw a bunch of games that I wanted to play, that for one reason or another I never got around to playing. I rented Enslaved for 7 days. I think the price was 6.99. Which, is pretty much perfect pricing IMO. The streaming was fast, and really crisp. It felt like I was playing it on my PS3. I have a decent internet connection, wired. 45Mb/s. Anyways, I sti...
ive never seen anyone dragging piles of games. your argument is invalid.
i think itd be a good value at 19.99 a month, really.
everyone seems to forget the primary function of PSNow. it will allow customers without playstations to access a large portion of the playstation experience through their TVs. This will be a pretty good selling point for Bravias going forward if they advertise it.
For the gamer who has a PS3, PS2, and a PS1 with a huge library of games, PSNow offers nothing. But guess what? Its not supposed to. For the grandparents who are considering purchasing a new TV. Which TV are you go...
other than the Z2, there really isnt a phone that matches the Z1s overall. i mean, its got a killer camera, super fast quad core, tons of ram, completely waterproof, FM radio, NFC, playstation certified, etc. There are other phones with some of these features, but none with ALL of these features. Oh and the screen is a 1080p bravia that puts out actual colors. not that cheap acid trip crap LG and Samsung seem to think is impressive.
what i REALLY want is a music video reply option like GT3. YOU HEAR ME, POLYPHONY? Not having it in GT4, 5, and 6 has been a huge letdown. Having it in driveclub would be pretty glorious.
