For sure getting L.A. Noire, but Brink is too interesting to pass up.
Note this is PS3 centric:
Mass Effect 3
Uncharted 3
Battlefield 3
DIRT 3
KillZone 3
FEAR 3
Resistance 3
Lego Star Wars 3
Patapon 3
Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3
Dungeon Siege 3
Assassins Creed 3 (will be 2012)
Modern Warfare 3 (speculation)
Deus Ex (3) Human Revolution
Motorstorm (3) Apocalypse
I am sure there are still more but I don't think there ...
That was in my Part 1 - these are the titles I forgot!
I guess - It just sounds like a lot when you hear it like that.
Its possibly that cutscenes are going to play a bigger part in this game than any other - with all the observational detective work that we are going to have to do.
I read somewhere that you had a new suit or something for pre-ordering? YAWN!
HA - Kratos skin for Cole!
Nudity and violence - this isn't news!
5 Hours of cutscenes is disappointing though.
"I now see camping as a skill and an art to out-fox your opponents."
Well said...
A hint of sarcasm there - I can't quite tell ;)
I meant not contributing to the team objectives in games other than Team Death Match. This is where kills don't necessarily win the game.
The Crysis 2 Dog Tag system is good until you have trudged through and unlocked the automatic collection perk. And here lies the problem that unbalances games for the casual gamers.
Unless you spend a week on line you can't unlock all these perks and therefore you are at a disadvantage against the gamers with little else to do with thier lives but play online.
This can be very off-putting if you buy the game late too as you are running around with a pea s...
I was just about to go write something like this!
I had to remove my nephew and a bunch of his mates off my PSN friends list cos I was fed up with them bitching and moaning about campers.
Yes there are those that don't contribute to the game, but just because someone caught you running into a room without checking the corners it doesn't make them a camper.
Self preservation is part of the multiplayer game and if hiding gets you throug...
Some interesting points - each game has its own tactics and you can't play a COD game like you are supposed to play BattleField BC 2. I say supposed because so many players still don't play this game properly more than a year in! SPOT please will you! Its easy points and really helps your team mates!
KillZone 3 has a great class system that almost forces you to play differently; by giving you very specific skills/perks and it therefore dictates the way must play.
yeah - Amazed that you can stand right beside some and they don't even notice you.
I want to like this game but am having the same experience as you.
I have to switch off after a few hours and play something else just convince myself that it's not me or my PS3 connection..
Going to finish the campaign and have my fingers crossed for BRINK next month.
I just can't play this game!
I want to love it but just can't get to grips with it.
After a few hours of playing I have to put another shooter on (Killzone or COD) just to convince myself that I am not actually that bad!
While I don't agree with your suggestion about taking away the k/d ratio I liked this article.
I am not bothered about my K/D, its about 1:1 on most multiplayers and I am happy with that.
"To my knowledge, BC2 is the only game that even gives you assist points for spotting." I think you are right about BFBC2 and players still don't SPOT. Its free points!
Gonna link to your post on my blog..
My son is obsessed with Pokemon and this was an interesting read for me. Thanks.
I have been playing this on my Android phone. All very similar gameplay but it looks very cool and it feels good to see birds being released rather than squishing those hogs!
FYI - I emailed both Rockstar and Team Bondi and asked for an of the name and I got a response.
It could be fake but at the same time the story has plausibility..
Interesting perspective! (excuse the pun)
I remember thinking 20+ years ago how those very first first person shooters (Wolfenstein etc) would be better with a figure running around rather than a gun and a hand.
And I agree for action platformers and rpg games. Assassins Creed, Tomb Raider, Uncharted, GTA etc all need 3rd person for all the reasons you state.
But when it comes to online shooting - I simply cannot play frantic death match gam...
