If you only play online a few times a year, then there's no reason for you to be an xbox live gold member... join with silver, have all the perks of gold except playing online with other people and problem solved.. no fee.

Uncharted can be THAT game this november... it needs to be... i expect nothing but raving reviews for this game and Sony needs to market that... Uncharted is my only must have PS3 title and if Sony doesn't push it, it can go the way of heavenly sword as far as sales go...
