Team Bondi's insolvency problems had nothing to do with L.A. Noire's sales or the game itself, rather the developers frittered money away over an eight-year development period. It's a poor comparison.
Without fact?
- Okay, "in terms of games" is an incredibly subjective term. If you're talking about quantity of games, maybe, maybe not: that's not important. What is the case is that a big portion of titles at TGS won't be seen over here. That does not strike me as being the collective move of a global industry player, especially in comparison to the '90s, early '00s, etc.

@NESpower I suggest reading the piece before casting your uninformed judgement.
Thank you! Someone who actually read the article ;)
It's certainly true that things are "slow" at the start, but after some hours of play, things do really start to get more urgent and interesting. Morrowind's environments are too cool to miss out on! If you're not one for walking around the countryside, make sure to avail of all the fast travel services, like boats and silt striders.
"The first in the theme-park management series to add full 3D", theme-park management series in question being RollerCoaster Tycoon.
Surely if you ("you" being an enthusiastic gamer) wanted to play GameCube games on a Wii - or wanted the console at all - , you'd've bought one between 2006 and now, rather than wait until Christmas 2011. It's a bit of a non-issue, really.
Before you result to petty, childish name-calling, it might be wise to take into account that this is a *speculative opinion* piece.
Of course what the investor said isn't definitive, and the writer of this article *explicitly says that*. This isn't a news report or an exclusive scoop. The writer takes this investor's thoughts into account and speculates on a trend that is becoming increasingly topical with the ubiquity of iOS/Android systems; is it really fair to...

In March and April, the PSP - a six-year-old system - outsold the 3DS. It has only been in the last two months that Nintendo's system has recovered, but not by the huge leaps and bounds that a new device should ideally be making.
The price-cut isn't about Nintendo feeling generous, that much is guaranteed.
It's pretty obvious The Escapist are in the wrong here. Damn money-grubbers!
Finest damned pedigree, I'll have you know.
So, I think we can gather that the reason this article is popular is not because of its amazing content, but because it contains the word "girl".
Who approves this stuff? The article is very poorly written. Have some standards, people!
Exact same! I liked that SimCity 4's expansion let you drive around (sort of). I suppose the closest thing to a "walkabout" mode is Cities XL's extremely close camera.
Conceptually speaking, the first "videogame" was patented in 1947. It was named the "Cathode Ray Tube Amusement Device", but never got off the ground. Of course, it wasn't nearly as sophisticated as even the earliest consoles, but the thought of interactive entertainment on a TV-screen was certainly around. There were numerous games developed for computer mainframes in the '50s and '60s, and there was the famous Tennis for Two in 1958, and Spacewar in 1961. <...
PopTop (RT2/3 developers) were amalgamated into Firaxis (Sid Meier's studio) in 2006. Now that Civ5 is out of the way, I'm hoping, like you, that either RT or Railroads gets another installment.
As for RCT, about this time last year, it was announced on the forums that the developers were looking for creative input on a fourth game, so I think we may be in luck!
Developer uses Twitter; breaking news!
Apologies, but the Quirky Title Generator was offline when the series was formulated.
A classic N4G comment.
How is the article "shit"?
