"COD Modern Warfare" and "COD Ghosts" seems to be the games that made people turn their back on COD. As I keep on seeing people mention those two games over and over again.
You mean that people hate on COD just for the fun of it? Thus the +2 mllion dislikes on Youtube?

From what I´ve seen, heard and read so far. Absolutely, and I bet that the game will win a ton of other awards as well (best sound and music, for example).

I don´t know if it´s the truth, but I´ve heard similar things quite a lot as of lately.
It´s going to be really hard to top "Uncharted 4" though. In the matter of fact, I´m picking up the new PS4 just so that I can play the game.
In my opinion, you have dropped the best comment on this matter so far. Because that´s how it is. And I´ve been through most of those stages (with the one exception for D&D, because I wasn´t born when the game got attacked by the media).
The real reason is because of a lot of young people in the Asian region feel a lot of stress and pressure from the society (they must become VERY successful. It's do or die for them). So they try to get away from it all by playing video games. You´re right though, as it won´t fix neither of the problems by lashing out at the video game industry at large.
It´s all about selfcontrol. I was forced to learn that at a very early age. As I played soccer, took care of my two younger brothers and aimed to get good grades. So it was always duties first, games second.
