From what I know, Germany had Nazi soldiers and the regular soldiers who just wanted to protect Germany from hostile powers. So perhaps we get a chance to play as both?

@Elwenil "Actually, there are a lot of complaints about the amount of grind that the focus respec and certain things in the PoE update. To me, it's pretty obvious that the grind has increased quite a bit since the Chinese bought out DE and they have become more profit driven. Still a decent game to pick up every so often, but once you have done pretty much everything and your Mastery is in the 20s, it's a mindless grind to nowhere once you burn through whatever new content is rel...
