I hardly doubt that Sony will have to cry themselves to sleep over lack of sales and awesome games anytime soon.
I get bad vibes when ever I see or hear the word "microtransactions", but in this case, it doesn't seem to be all that bad.

I'm glad to hear it =) Albert (a friend of mine) has had a blast with the game on Switch. So I'm not really all that surprised to hear that the game is doing great in Japan, because they truly love games of this kind.

The devs got way more money than they asked for on Kickstarter. So it's not impossible that "Stoneshard" might end up seeing an release on consoles as well.
I'm pretty sure that they used their own engine for this one, but I could be wrong.
That's your opinion, the like vs dislike ratio on their E3 show tells a different story.

I can't speak for Dave, but I think that it was pretty good. However, the lack of "Metroid" made me sad.
