That is true while the interview is new, the issues are from Oct and your title and summary make it sound like the rumors just happened...
Ya no base model sucks right now I did not even find a place that had preorders for it in US. Did anyone pre-order it in the US everyone I saw was from UK
@_-EDMIX-_ We can agree to disagree I guess.
There is no set rule which defines or determines whether a game is a first or 2nd generation game on a system. I think it is determined down the line when you can look back and see that games took that leap forward. I feel that UC4 is that step forward.
If you feel that UC4 is in the same generation of games such as Killzone and Infamous:SS that is your opinion. While I do not agree I can not say you are wrong.
Ya I do not see it drastically increasing sales but it will increase the mind-share of the Sony brand which in turn should equate to more sales than if PS VR didn't exist
I don't think there is a company that tracks sales across Asia like Media Create does for Japan
I really find it funny how the Sony haters are out in force on these articles saying how it does not cost $399...They seem upset it came at a good price.
You guys are talking like it is so easy to just port it over, Here are some quotes from Drunkman about it,
"“I wish we had a button that was like ‘Turn On PS4 Mode’, but no… We expected it to be hell, and it was hell. Just getting an image onscreen, even an inferior one with the shadows broken, lighting broken and with it crashing every 30 seconds … that took a long time. These engineers are some of the best in the industry and they optimized the game so much for the PS3...
@_-EDMIX-_
ND themselves seem to disagree with you.
"This was a little bit like Christmas, in the sense that you get to spend five months exclusively working on engineering problems," says Gyrling. Shekar readily agrees: "Shipping this game means that Uncharted 4 will not be our first PS4 game. The first game on a new platform is very difficult to do, and now we've already done that."
So they worked out most of the is...
Nahh UC4 is 2nd gen. ND already said they used what they learned with making TLoU for PS4 on UC4. No game released 2.5 years after the console release is a 1st gen game...
@starchild So your saying that PC gamers that don't have a rig that meet the min specs of Rift or Vive is going to go out and drop 600 or 800 on VR just in case their weaker than recommended PC is going to be able to handle some of the weakest VR games. I don't see that happening...
I want them all!
It is 399 for me and others...
Why would they add that into the price of base kit?
Of course it is up to the developer and publisher...Why/how can they force the publishers to do it if they don't want to
I really don't understand the point of your article. There has to be a base model without the camera for people that have the camera. Why would they release the price of the bundle before the base price...
I have an idea for your next article. "Why Sony’s Decision To Not Include A PS4 With PSVR Does Not Make Sense From A Consumer Standpoint"
I mean such a small % of the worlds population has a PS4 so it would make sense to include that in the pa...
@donthate How is it false advertising when they have already stated you need the camera and it is not included in the 399 headset only price.
It still does "work out of the box" because you can use it for netflix and regular games...
Nice review, I would have rated it a little higher myself but I didn't run into some of the issues you did on PC. I am looking forward to your Episode 5 review and your feelings on the ending.
Because depending on the deal it might not be good for them...What if MS says we will do crossplay but it has to be on Azure and you have to pay us to do it...Why would Sony do that when their user base is 2x or more
@moldybread MS is vague as well. For all we know if the other consoles want to use it MS will force them to pay for Azure...
Also you do realize for FFXIV Sony was ok with servers having Live, PSN and PC gamers together. MS and Phil were the ones that said no to it. So Sony has already been open to it, so how is the ball in Sony's court. If anything it is still in MS court to prove that will do this in a game not in a PR statement
I was thinking Horizon would prob make it, the demo was amazingly polished for a first look. TLG who knows, I still don't know even with them pledging...
