What did you expect to see? A flight simulation game? As far as I can see, there are plenty of new features, but the game still has kept MGS spirit.
It's obviously that he wrote that just so he can cause some controversy. Just because he can't understand the story, it doesn't mean that it is stupid. It looks to me that prefers those GUN-HO characters and stories, GoW, Black, Doom... You know: just go and kill everybody. I don't have nothing against that. But that doesn't give him the right to bash other things.
And, to let you know: I never use the Disagree button. I didn't hit it.
If he wants to play something completely new, then maybe he should try some other game. What did he expect? That Snake is going to play football or go to cinema? For me, it is a superb combination of older games and new features. Oh, and if he is bothered with long cutscenes, then he should play Tetris. There are no cutscenes there, just gameplay.

I agree that HL2 is excellent game, but HL1 brought some sort of revolution in gaming. I still play it ocassionaly.
As for Elite in short: It's space flight simulation and some other things. It's also very good game. Personally, I prefer Freelancer. Now, that game rocks!

I don't care when characters are cursing. The thing I don't like is that they are only cursing and nothing else. You have a typical briefing before the mission start where the good guys are telling you objectives about how you need to kill the bad guys.
Mission start: Ofcourse, your main character is some some guy with muscles who can't speak two sentences. That's what is bothering me. They are all typical and shallow persons. That's why MGS is staying above them all. Nothing is black...
Story is what separates MGS from other games. I'm sick of playing FPS games, whose main protagonist can say only two words: Sh!t and Fvck.
Kojima never uses CG in his games. Inform yourself before writing.

TM3 was bad. But, Vigilante 8 was always, in my opinion, better than TM series. Anyone played it?
