Hang on, if that much of Quiet's skin is covered, won't she suffocate?
Or does she only breathe through her boobs?
This is probably to maintain a level playing field in multiplayer. Everything is about skill, and no one should have advantages. Different HUDs might've been better or worse for play (no way of knowing for sure now).
Cross-platform play incoming?
"There is a good and powerful narrative reason why Quiet will be almost naked in this game!"
Lol.
You mean to sell figurines with squeezable boobs to guys who can't manage to get close enough to the real thing(s).
Never read the comments.
Never ever read the comments.
It's Russia because piracy is an even bigger problem there apparently.
"...we are currently evaluating both timing and need for a CU beta with the Xbox One Preview program..."
This means that not only are they not certain on timing, but they're also not certain on the actual need of a CU beta at all, i.e. it may not actually happen.
To all the people that are sceptical, everyone who attended the event was allowed to play a version of Minecraft using the Hololens that afternoon. Go and read their reviews.
Spoiler: It works and it's great.
"Mitigated".
Note that this doesn't mean the same thing as "prevented". Everyone has already said that you can MITIGATE DDoS attacks, but they cannot be prevented. Sure you can use load balancing, redundant DNS servers, junk packets, reserve bandwidth etc etc... But Cloudflare is a different company with different financial pressures. It's entire business revolves around staying online, which means 100% of investment can be poured back into it.
All other things ignored for the moment, it seems pretty obvious that anonymity on the Internet causes problems. Perhaps we could establish some spheres where it is important (for example, to facilitate freedom of speech and of association on the Internet at large), and places where it isn't (for example, Xbox Live).
Whoever was playing needs a lot more practice...
They're whining about something which isn't really happening (games being overrun by examples of higher art). There will always be developers making the games that they want to, and some games have *always* been made for the masses (it's how capitalism works guys). People are screaming about this as if it's a new thing, when in fact the game industry has never been so healthily full of innovation.
But I mean, if people don't care that's cool, strikes me as stra...
This article is pretty spot on. The developers strike me as a bunch of whining children who are begging for the spotlight to be put upon them. Granted, they've succeeded, but they act as if they have some higher agenda to fight back against an "overrunning" of the video game industry by "higher art", when all they really want is just to be noticed, and they are embarrassingly desperate.
The industry isn't overrun with anything. Game genres don't leave t...
Why does no one understand the various pressures on online servers upon release? The game itself works perfectly fine, instead this is about capacity.
There is a careful balancing act to be made in terms of time and capital investment when trying to calculate what level of participation your multiplayer infrastructure should be able to cope with.
If developers were to plan for the capacity which they see during the initial two weeks, that would mean time and money that couldn&...
I mean, it's probably not okay that Anita Sarkeesian has been so strongly threatened with murder and gross sexual violence that she has been forced to leave her home.
Remember, the only reason online abuse could make you leave your home is if it became obvious that people knew where your home was.
Anita's misrepresentation of games (definitely happens, e.g. WatchDogs, Fallout 3), probably doesn't
a) Stop other games from still being valid ...
My game arrived today and is playing just fine. Looks great too, no downgrade to speak of. Just crashed to desktop though annoyingly, although that's probably due to the lack of a Day 1 patch. The amount of testing a studio can ever hope to do is nothing compared to the "testing" that gets done when the game is released. Games are getting more and more complex, and I wonder whether we're hitting that point where it is just infeasible to ever accomplish sufficient levels of t...
MGS can't just turn around and remind everyone that they weren't trying to make a realistic franchise or character, that's not the point. If someone calls you racist, reminding them that you weren't actually trying not to be racist isn't a defence.
Furthermore, this is most certainly not true, given the responses from the team behind the game. You are meant to care about characters and relate to them. The game has been referred to by the developers as "charac...
Most people have been saying that this is probably fake because Microsoft would be shouting about it by now.
I probably agree, but if there was an NDA on the technology that would explain a lot. Note how even developers who must surely know all about the hardware still haven't spilled the beans on either console, so even if developers knew, it doesn't mean they would be able to tell anyone. Furthermore, the comments from developers about the PS4's superior ability...
This probably is a fake site, but until you get to the opinion splurge at the bottom, it is actually completely honest about XB1's policy. It's irritating the way it literally begs you to believe it's an actual opinion piece though.
Just so people are aware, the Daily Mail is an absolute joke here in the UK.
Most of their stories involve hating on immigrants, foreign countries, disabled people, and LGBT folk, basically a crappy tabloid. Imagine if Fox News was on paper instead of on TV.
It's kind of weird that they've done a video game review that has ended up on here :S
