When I played GTAIV I was expecting a grand ol' GTA experience.
But when I played it, the game was so realistic, they took so many things out of it.
Tanks and planes didn't seem realistic so they took it out. Breaking engines, the wanted level, health of people, and punching was all changed for realism.
Games are to escape real life. If this continues, you will die in one hit in future games.

Thats why I think developers abuse the Wii.
Nintendo is one of the only companies that makes quality games for the Wii
Theres a pretty good chance, since Resistance 2 has a far better chance due to the space on BRD's. Plus, Insomniac had way less time to develop, and did not know as much about PS3 development.
Off topic:
I am tired of people saying you cannot compare games because one is an FPS and one is a 3PS.
They are just ways of viewing the screen and your character people!
