If all that matters in a new console is a better Kinect, they why didn't Microsoft just release a stand-alone upgraded Kinect 2 as an add-on for the 360? You could put an on-board processor in the Kinect 2 to handle the increased system tax a new dashboard update would put on the CPU. Plus they would have the huge 360 install base to work with. It seems like Microsoft felt that the Xbox 360 needed more than a better Kinect to keep gamers happy.

Am I the only one who dislikes the "price cut" phrasing? Taking part of the product out of the box and lowering the price is not a "price cut", it is a new product. If they kept the kinect in every box and lowered the price, that would be a price cut.
