Encourage? didnt see that on their label. Theres a difference between playing a game and then incorporating that into real life and then proving that the game "made" you do these things.
I will be playing Gears 3 today so i guess im gonna go buy a chainsaw and try and attack an albino who works as a miner right??? Maybe i'll play BF3 and apply for a job in the army and put on my CV i have a K/D of 2.6 and a W/L of 3.4 therefore im the sort of person who they wan...
I see what you did there ;)
All their games tend to be the same genre "sandbox" but i completely disagree with you saying they're milking. Milking is essentially what COD is doing. Annual releases, with DLC which is overpriced considering your gonna get less than a year out of it.
Also they give a VERY good price for their DLC (BOGT and TLAD) and how the DLC was actually linked to the main "story" was brilliant.
so GTA4 is better than GTA:SA? No they dont listen to their fans as much as people like to believe.
They make brilliant games but they take away features which would have gotten them GOTY. Although i do agree with them being one of the best devs this gen. Non of their games have been mediocre and as you said they know how to do DLC right. Especially when the DLC for gta4 could have been sold as its own game (which it sort of was).
Well you have to consider is that it's either flinch or suppression.
Flinch purposefully moves your sight to miss the target while suppression will reward those who actually keep there sights on the target despite the blur. Basically if you complain about supression I doupt there's a MP shooter you'll like.
Still a very nice guide. I like how supression isnt just limited to LMG's.
I think that it's clear that 3rd party support is where kinect shines for the hardcore (mainly ME3). So I think it really comes down to what they do with kinect. But come on Ryse looks awesome if the gameplay is real...
*stares at star wars kinect* real kick in the nuts watching the first trailer of it and then seeing the real product :(
You nailed it pretty much. I think Sony were over confident at launch thinking that a loyal fanbase would remain loyal despite the cost. It seems they've proven they won't do the same (proof is with the vita) but I dunno what to expect this E3 on the "Suprise list".
Halo 4 was clearly last years SUPER Suprise because no one thought it would happen so who knows what'll happen next year.
Yeh but again it comes down to the following:
1: price
2: launch line up
3: specs
4: new features that the rival doesn't have
5: release date
Those (in my mind) are what make people choose which console they want if they are arnt sure which to buy in the first place.
I'm pretty sure there's a non disclosure agreement with the companies they get the components off. But I doupt the suppliers even know what the parts are for.
He ate pacman! His life now has meaning!!!!
I know this sounds strange but I'll like it if it is categorised in your trophies/achievements with MP and SP seperatly. So BF3 MP and SP are separated for achievements.
Didn't homefront do this first?
completely agree. EA should be the greediest company but definitely not the worst in America. Im pretty sure there are a lot worse than them despite them abusing the fans of their games.
@captain qwark 9
As said EA pulls multiple stunts which show greediness. They started the Online Pass system, Sell Day one DLC and look at how many of their major titles have recently been boycotted.
Also Activision seems to have a line. All they really do is yearly releases (this is something that EA also does). Capcom i really dont care about so i just tend to shut up when they turn up in the news.
Oh God thats a good idea. While its pretty obvious people will 99% of the time choose punish its pretty cool that the best player gets the choice. Seems like a nice reward to say well done for doing the best :)
I dont think it was greed but more over confidence. They thought the game would be a hit (which it kinda was) but i think it Definatly would have been more successful as ana arcade title.
Again that comes down to personal opinion. I find it amazing that COD gets so much hate when people bash the FPS genre and BF3 gets a tap on the shoulder.
Only fully fledged shooter im buying this year is GR:FS. Will be getting Rayman: Origins, AC3 and kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning. Should be a Really fun year :3
*stares at bobby koticks general direction... If thats possible. Then leaves worthless comment*
Its a brilliant game but this is just how things go. I remember seeing this at E3 and was amazed by it.
Ubisoft always have a good conference tho. No hype like EA and MS, they just say it how it is and show the game. Then let us decide if its good or not :)
If the game performs how the trailer says then it will be brilliant but again after the star wars kinect trailer that they faked im holding off until i see someone playing it.
