Why do we "NEED" more women in the industry? Do we "NEED" men to make games? The answer is no to both.
I actually have a better idea! How about we say that we need talented people to work in the industry?

I hope not. We have seen Fennekin use psychic though and the prediction was that this gens starters would become:
Water/Fighting
Grass/Dark
Fire/Psychic.
Personally hope that turns out to be true we've had 3 genrations now with Fire/fighting starter.
Depends. Perhaps there could be a creature who senses you based on your heart rate? So breathing slowly will throw it off your location.
Could have safety issues so its unlikely to ever go into a game but the possibilities are there.
Personally none of the games for either Sony or MS's launch lineup interest me. Nothing worth spending £400-500 on.
The multiplats are the strongest titles in the lineups to be honest and I think all of them are releasing on 6th gen consoles or PC. My opinion is likely influenced by the fact I own a PC which I recently upgraded so y'know... I already have a system that can run them.

I think you misunderstood my comment and the point of Sony's video.
The "greatness awaits" is a very inside trailer and does nothing to increase product awareness. The only people who understand it to any extent are the people who are gamers. Only 3 seconds were used on brand awareness and no product was show.
The other could be hit and miss. It looks amazing but your not entirely sure what the games are if your not into gaming like those of us ...
While that video is funny let me just give the response your average person in the theater would have after watching if it were used as an ad:
"What was that about?"
While the word playStation and "PS4" is used but the average consumer does not understand the message or what the product is. Why do I associate sharing with PlayStation and who are those 2 people?... What does the product they're talking about even look like!?!?

Depends on the individual. I like them personally. They make me try things I wouldnt bother doing like completing the game on a harder difficulty. Before I had no reason to because I didnt find any pleasure in it.
But getting that score/level up is always fun! It adds another element which a lot of people find value in which is great :D
I really wish Ninty would add achievements to their service. I could earn them no matter where I am in the world then :)

yeh I've noticed that. Its actually a very level headed and unbiased opinion piece.
COD or a Modern Military Game for that matter is not a game to represent equality but more a "realisitc" representation.
For example there are no women in the SAS. Why? To join the SAS you have an incredibly tought selection and training process which people are known to die during. on average women are 30% weaker in lower body strength and 50% weaker in upper. SAS takes the best. Very few women would be able to pass because of biological limitations.

Here's the issue. We believe that a women in a game (book's and movie's too) are meant to represent the entire gender and act as a flag to wave around... I just realized I did some grade A objectification right there ;)
When I look at Joel I dont think he represents beard owners or that Master Chief represents the socially awkward. They're just characters that I love and admire in my childlike fantasy mind!

I love CA and they're my favourite devs but I have to admit... They havent really done anything spectacular outside of the Total War franchise :/
Hopefully this game will change that because I really want to take what I just said back! :)
