this is real known problem, go to any gaming message board and you will see this issue being critical. i am one of those that can't play the game because of freezing up on me. the image stays frozen then audio continues on. it's F#C^ING annoying.
man this S#IT blows! i've been waiting forever for GTA to come out and now i can't play because of the freezing issue! im upset and pissed off @ the same time!

I'm there with you considering that the game is solely based online, roughly like 12 maps would have been good amount to start off.
