I'm buying it on PC but I hope the experience meets expectations from each platform's level of standards.
a fan of battlefield is a fan of battlefield, whatever platform it is.

like BC2, BF3 will over time have a stronger PC community than on console, so they're appealing to their target market
as a guy who enjoys having a decent gaming rig, you have to realise the quality of games is not generally dictated by hardware.
Crysis 2 looks fabulous, plays average.
Minecraft on the other hand looks average, but has the best gameplay around.
The more time devs spend on gameplay and less on pretty stuff the better
