IT's a upgraded version can't say for sure its a next gen. It's because Nintendo didn't want a HD CONSOLE because the number of HDTV'S is in consumers homes. But they should of realize that already theirs lots of HDTV's in homes PS3/XBOX 360 play FULL HD 1080P games. They want to create another new controller like their successor of the Wii remote. Last time I play a good PC game was DOOM/STAR WARS/Where in the World is Carmen San Diego/LEMMINGS and that was just a few i can name and that was during the middle 90s i play some real pc games. but right now i see nothing i like to play.
