Uh, what? This is N4G, the PS3-fanboy capital of the Internet. Look at the front page, about 80% or more of the articles are either vehemently pro-Sony, anti-Microsoft, or both.
Look at the front page before you blindly press Disagree.
Props for including Braid, but where's Valkyria Chronicles?
Also, they should have waited for Persona 4 to come out before making a list like this; that definitely deserves a spot. The year's not over yet!
SE was really good in the generation before this one. They had Final Fantasy X (and XII, but apparently I'm the only one who liked that game), Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, Star Ocean: TtEoT, and they finally made a huge amount of progress in making the Dragon Quest series popular in the States and Europe by publishing Dragon Quest VIII.
They have made some big missteps this gen (Last Remnant, for one), but I think they can redeem themselves eventually this gen. I look forward to FFX...
*stops playing his PC for a moment to check N4G*
*sees a guy with a RRoD for an avatar submitting anti-Microsoft article*
*briefly laments what's happened to N4G*
*shrugs*
*goes back to playing PC*
They're action/adventure games, not RPGs.

It's real.
7/10 is hardly "amazing", but I see your point.
(Then again, Gamespot gave it a 5.5 with some noticeable TH advertising here and there, so it looks like they're slowly redeeming themselves from the Kane & Lynch scandal...)
The ONLY official release date comes from Blizzard, and only Blizzard. Retailers make up dates like this all the time.
(As an aside, December '08 is a pretty optimistic estimate.)

Does anyone know if any other games are affected by the update?
(If not, I wonder why it's only NG2...)
The art style for D3 looks more like God of War than World of Warcraft. And God of War was incredible.
It certainly seems to be the most bashed game series, that's for sure.
Look past the hype. There's a rather good game underneath, I promise.
Insult wars have winners?
I only care if it's a blast to play, which is what it's already looking like. Creativity and ingenuity in gameplay (Zombie Wall, bosses deteriorating and spawning hundreds of undead upon defeat, etc) trump graphics.
For what reasons? The stories on Tactics Advance and A2 weren't as good, but if you play the Tactics games for their storyline (and not the tactical-strategy gameplay, which is superb in all three), you're missing the point.
I personally enjoyed FFXII a lot, but to each his own.
As it happens, I just started playing FFX again recently, from the beginning. It's a great RPG, especially when you get done with the linear part of the story and are free to explore all the places you've been before. Plus, it still looks great seven years later!
This is what I get for trying to keep an optimistic mind and give Treyarch and World at War the benefit of the doubt...turns out they're incredibly arrogant and unprofessional.
I'm going to wait for Infinity Ward to make a REAL Call of Duty.
Kane & Lynch was a terrible game, regardless of the hype. The whole Gamespot controversy didn't exactly help its image either.
Looks great so far, can't wait to try the demo in a few months.
