I love the part where they say the 3DS is to expensive and are comparing it to an iPad that at the cheapest is 400 bucks... 150 more... you think parents are going to be like oh... hmm... I should get my child and ipad instead its 150 more and breaks easier. /facepalm

The motion controls made me not feel like playing the game anymore. It no longer felt nostalgic and just felt like a lame gimmick... /sadpanda
Very well written article I agree with most of it. It is the type of gamer that plays FPS especially on XBOX live that keeps me from wanting to touch the genre. Occasionally I will enjoy a nice FPS on the PC like mass effect of Fallout but shoot die shoot dis multi-player does not engage my brain enough to keep me interested.
The game was not worth the 15 a month to most gamers now with their new model you have to purchase the quest packs for the zones if you wish to keep playing. You can grind from level 15 to the level cap if you wish that is free but after level 15 kiss either quests or your money good bye. It will cost you more then 15 a month in cash to buy all their level packs. Really this game is a value at 15 a month rather then the free model which will cost you a small fortune. I like lotro but its not ...
I have both a ps3 and a 360 and I don't plan to buy either of the motion control gimmicks. The should have been focused on the next generation of powerful consoles and not these additions that don't move anything forward.
Good list I could see making it a list of 10 to include more iconic characters we know and love but for a list of just 5 you hit the nails on the head.
I have high hopes for this game but these new developments are not the way I want to see it go. Anytime Co-op and open world and all those words are thrown into an RPG like the the story suffers more and with each feature added till you have a game that looks amazing but has no depth or spirit behind it. Here is hoping since this is Sakaguchi's last game that its amazing!
Maybe someday when everyone who ever loved a video game before motion controls games came out is dead. Until then we will cling to our buttons and for good reason!

I am enjoying the huge library of good games my psp has now and I really look forward to seeing what the psp2 will be capable of. I am playing the New Ys atm the psp has a really good RPG library even if its mostly half port remakes.
IMO Achievements are pointless.
Depends, if you don't own a 360 or a ps3 already then I would say Wii if not then whichever console you own you could pick up kinect or move for but why support horrible motion controls at all? Is this really what people want?
I disagree and I also think that last gen had alot better games then this gen has so far.
Completely disagree we need the diversity in gaming I don't want all RPGS to turn into mass effect and wow clones or all action games to become GTA4. Gaming can only progress with new innovations from all directions.
The reviews did tell me the most important thing I needed to know. I would have to get rid of my couch to play it as my tiny apartment is just not large enough.
They stated the reason why I didn't like dragon age. I disagree with FF7 and MGS though the stories can be a bit wacky at times they are enjoyable. Most of what people like about them is it leaves a bit to the imagination to fill in which games are not doing much these days. Its either no story or too much.
The reviews wont effect the sales but I think it will get high reviews anyway after all the just bumped the price of xbox live member ships and all that moolah is needed to line some reviewers and bloggers pockets.
