BUT BD has everything
I am still anticipating the 100 gig BD disc from HITACHI.
when is HITACHi's CES keynote
OMG
even at 99$ Toshiba standalone players couldnt beat BD standalone players?
EPIC info
1000 000:1 contrast ratio!!!!!!!!
so that has to be incredible
MILLION :1 vs 10 000:1 in most contemporary TVs
Toshiba is also a very reknowned company and even they can make a huge amount of money by making BD drives
Toshiba's products are almost as good as SONY's
Miuchael comments on HD DVD's defeat was posted before
NOW he is commenting on HD DVD owners on page 8 of the thread WHICH TALKED ABOUT HD DVD 's defeat
He is never afraid to speak his heart out
However anyway lets stop the rant since the format war is NOW OVER
why not??
Disney is backing BD exclusively and SONY would be announcing their IPTV perhaps on TUESDAY
However there are a MINUTE amount of PEOPLE who would go for DD over a physical MEDIA storage
We need a 200gig HDD for just the PLANET EARTH series in HD
do we have to purchase a new HDD for a new movie??
DD is a comnplement . It will not threaten anything but it will take off ONLY IN THE DISTANT FUTURE
or SHORTSIGHTEDNESS
The BD rom for PC is available for <200$
the PS3 might be reduced to 350$
the standalone drive costs as low as 270$ .
why would i go for a DUAL FORMAT drive?
why would i go for it?
TOSHIBA....it is over
However you could make money by making some BD drives
You have a good reputation.
PLEASE dont lose it. whats gone is gone
despite putting this STORY in the tech section it was reported by the XBOTS
shameless arent they?
2008 is EPIC for SONY

For the first time SONY won a major format war against not just a rival TECH JAPANESE GIANT but MS as well
@the person below
There are over 300 000 hD DVD add-on owners of X360.
the only HD DVD players sold besides TOSHIBA's standalone HD DVD players were the HD DVD add-ons for x360.
it is just a matter of week/s before they pull the plug completely off HD DVD
I think WARNERS made their decision after assessing the WHOLE PRAGMATIC SCENARIO of HD DVD vs BD battle
