Why do people throw around $500 like its A FORTUNE??? Even working at minimum wage for McDonalds you can save 50 dollars a week between now and launch to pay it off. Granted $500 is on the higher side for a console release but it is well within the realm of acceptability.

@OffroadKing, its not a reality just something you are saying to defect on the decent sales of a box for whatever reason you hate , the project scorpio edition comes with an extra stand and some green lettering, its not a huge advantage that entices the masses to buy. The fact is the majority of gamers are not early adopters.
The scalper excuse kinda doesn't hold merit in this example. Microsoft is behind this gen for reasons,this new console has a lot to prove to get people back on board the Microsoft hype train. You wouldn't say buy season tickets for the LA Rams this year thinking you could flip them at a good price. Most people who were anticipating this release were the ones buying it up. Whether or not it continues good or decent sales is all up to the work Microsoft puts into making it exceptional. ...
500 dollars is not expensive...why does this keep being brought up? Sure its the price ceiling for a console, but its within the boundary of acceptability. It includes a 4k UHD blu ray player which in itself is a 150-200 dollar value.

I pre ordered a One X....but Jesus, these guys at Microsoft(Spencer, Hyrb,Ybarra and now this Greenberg) need to stay out of the public limelight. They all appear as sleezy car salesmen from the 1970s and it hurts the brand image. Let the hardware and future software speak for itself...these guys think they need to be Don King promoting a PPV.
New games wont be something they can do immediately(for the launch window..those would be atleast a year away). I am more anxious to see what the 3rd party upgrades look like and of course the upgrades they give all their first party already published games(Halo 5, Forza Horizon 3 and so on and so forth better look amazing!!!)

All slightly similar, but the story telling is just so superb!!! I wish I would have gotten into the series in the ps3 days so I could have played 3 4 and 5
Also this series is one you can just lose HOURS doing side activities...its amazing how well side quests and mini games compliment such amazing stories. ...
Command and Conquer...Red Alert 3 was fine...but then they messed up CNC4 and then that free to play debacle, before ending the series???

Yeah I normally don't ever buy season passes but I bought this and I have been playing off and on because the DLC is taking a mind boggling amount of time to come out. So far one full DLC so far? Whats going on, you can only play the same maps so many times before it just gets old.

One could say the same for the ps pro. What was the must have game when that launched? Pretty much Uncharted 4. Its only happened this year in 2017 since ps4 got a great deal amount of exclusives.
Its really ignorant to battle back and forth on this issue. As I stated below every gamer should want these things to succeed to push competition and better successive consoles .

I love great graphics as much as the next guy, but the Yakuza games have shown me that its okay to be a little worse graphically, if you have a great story and compelling things to do in the game.
When was the last time a sony or microsoft console launched with "compelling must have games"? New console launches sell because of hype, never must have titles.
All gamers should want this to succeed, that will push Sony to do more for PS5, which in turn will push Microsoft. Competition is great...just think what would have happened had Sony fell on its face in the PS3 days, not changed their strategy and allowed Microsoft to destroy it last gen? We would have had an always on, all digital X Box One. Whether or not you like or dislike certain companies...a true gamer should always root for consoles to do well and not flop.

I have been a ps owner since the first weeks of the original playstation launch in the mid 90s, and have had a regular ps4 since launch...the pro always felt like a minor upgrade and not worth the purchase. The One X seems like a decent attempt at rectifying the good faith Microsoft ruined before the launch of the One. 100 upgraded titles...
