Let me guess. You think anybody who dislikes the game or is apprehensive about buying it is a "troll". Just because it's a Final Fantasy game, doesn't mean people have to automatically like it. And just because people don't automatically like it, doesn't mean they are trolls.

Gaming sites just can't win. If they give a game a good score, they are accused of being biased. If they give a game a bad score, they are accused of fishing for hits.

I don't get the hate people have for Felicia Day. What exactly has she done to make so many people hate her? She genuinely likes games (which is more than can be said for most "celebrity gamers"), she seems nice, and she puts a good image on female gamers. I'd rather see more Felicia Day's in the industry than idiots like Olivia Munn.

1. As mentioned above the gameplay is less fluid, only 30fps, and Ninja Theory aren't exactly known for their fast paced action games.
2. Yes, Dante's looks are also an issue. And that isn't a petty reason in my opinion. Character design is a big part of what makes characters memorable and iconic so of course fans will be pissed if that design gets an overhaul. If someone wanted that then they wouldn't buy a Ninja Theory game. Ninja Theory aren't exactly known for their slick fast paced action games. Unless "slick" means repetitive button mashing and boring level design.

To be fair part of the reason it probably got such good reviews is because its a Final Fantasy game. Sites are far more lenient of long running and 'famous' franchises. Would FFXIII have gotten the same scores if it didnt have Final Fantasy in the title? I doubt it. FFXIII is not a bad game but there have been better RPGs this gen that didn't get half the praise or attention that FFXIII got because they don't have that well known Final Fantasy name.
It looks exactly the same as FFXIII. I'm not even saying that as a hater, I was actually looking forward to this. But it literally looks like the same damn game with the same damn problems all over again.
I wish I had gotten 13-16 hours out of it. I didn't even rush through it and RE5 still only lasted 7-8 hours for me.
Because it's frustrating when a developer breaks up their franchise onto multiple consoles that prevent the average gamer from being able to play them all. Kindgom Hearts, anyone???

I think it says more about you as a gamer than the game itself if you are put off by a game just because the camera might focus on a male's butt.

I don't know. I don't like the implication that men will just gravitate towards anything with boobs on it. I'm a gamer, I'll go to a gaming expo to look at games because I enjoy games as a hobby. Not because a bunch of scantily clad ladies are there. I don't base my purchases on whether or not there are sexy ladies selling it to me. I buy games based on how good the game itself looks.
