How difficult is it to understand that an online match hosted by a person with a good internet connection will be less laggy than a match hosted by somebody paying $19.99 a month for their bottom of the barrel connection? 402 claiming the the console versions of Modern Warfare were identical is laughable. On the 360 version of MW every public online match is preceded by a pre-match host selection where the player with the strongest signal is chosen as the match host. On the PS3 version there is no pre-match host selection, the first man in the lobby is always the host, no matter how poor his signal strength. This relatively small difference means the PS3 version of the game suffers from a drastically more lag ...

The wow factor is zero lag. MW2 may have lots of nice little bells and whistles, but if the game is as laggy as MW on PS3, and if it lacks pre-match host selection like PS3 MW, then MAG will be the favored FPS on PS3. As it stands today MW on PS3 is close to unplayable about 60% of the time due to poor connection (and it isn't my connection, in fact the only time my party plays lag-free is when I host). I honestly think the "noob problem" will sort itself out in the first week or so. I have already seen vids on Youtube of noobs who somehow made it into the beta (when i, who have been following this game's development for 2 years didn't!)complaining that they dont want to follow orders, and that "team work is gay". Those kids wont last very long before they go back to whatever pray and spray lone wolf FPS they have been playing, trust me.

i am not a MAG beta tester, but i have to think that you will lose your rank from the beta when the full release happens, at least that is my experience with every beta i have even taken part in.
I have read everywhere that they are playing an Xbox 360 version in the vid, and maybe this is a nub comment because i dont play on PC...but if they are playing on a PC with an Xbox 360 controller via an adaptor wouldn't it appear as if they are playing on 360? I believe many developers play alpha builds on PC's using console controllers to help them refine controls for the console in question. So perhalps its possible that the game is being played on PC and not 360 in the vid?
