The PC version of the game will be using DX11 API were as the console version will be using DX9 API
Even though the game engine (CryEngine 3) allows Crytek and other developer to scale the game down to run on consoles some graphical features can't be scaled such as
Tessellation will only be found on the PC version as only DX11 Hardware will support it, they can't scale down tessellation because console can't do it

There is no such thing as HD graphics
HD is a standard known as High Definition
The minimum standard for HD is 1280 pixels horizontal by 720 pixels vertical with progressive scanning.
The maximum for the HD standard is 1920 pixels horizontal by 1080 pixels vertical with progressive scanning.

Also what you have to remember is if a game is only released on disc in time they will no longer produce them and that mean you can no longer get them
With PC there is something called digital distribution so even if all the disc copies have been sold there will always be unlimited copies for the digital version

I can see a portable console that has a mini HDMI port and a mains port
So it fully portable on the go and when you get home you can plug in to the mains and your HDTV

DirectCompute is amazing and I love the fact DX11 has got it like it says in the tread it allows for the use of GPU to do general purchase tasks, not only does this improve gaming but it will allow for parallel processing for basic tasks
Tessellation, can't wait to see Crysis 2 on maximum setting, it will look crazy and the detail on objects and textures will look incredible plus when you get to a certain distance tessellation will scale back the graphics to increase performance ...
