the point is that he only dislikes it because of recent events involving people he cares about have got him feeling down. It is especially relevant to him because the game has gotten great reviews and yet he struggles to enjoy it, not because of the what is in the game, but because what is happening in his life.
Great article, I think it is especially fitting for N4G where people get so caught up in the trivial and meaningless arguments over a video game console. It's very amiable to be reminded of things that really matter in life.

My best gaming years were during the ps2 era but I still have a greater affection for the ps1 and the old nintendo consoles. the xbox brand has never really won me over because I can play most their games on the superior PC.

I dunno, great things have been said about forza3. Just because GT was the king of the past it does not make it automatically the best racing sim today. GT5 has forza3 beat in graphics but it remains to be seen if the gameplay can match the high standards set by forza3.
yeah, it's quite disturbing how the american media managed to spin the 3rd fastest selling console in history into 'failure' with a constant lambasting of false negative articles and half truths. But what is worse, the people spreading lies and deceit or the people dumb enough to fall for it?
It's just what ps3 gamers have come to expect from major american media outlets and their pro 360 bias(Forbes,CNET for example). With this being microsoft it is only natural to expect the worst.
Am I the only person who thought GTA4 was awesome? Of course it is probably a little overrated but I think that it derserved alot of those 10/10s. I liked the game more than San Andreas... *ducks for cover*
yet another example of PSP games getting judged harshly. You can't possibly expect its games to be current gen standard and I believe some reviewers ignore this fact.
I'm not a fan either, I've never gotten into button mashers. I can however say fairly that it is a good series but it's just not to my taste.
I thought forza3 was said to have pushed the 360 to its limits? They must have been BSing. Gameplay is what matters most anyway but it's a shame it doesn't look as good as the hype suggested.
I can remember slight drops in framerate when you jumped off the high buildings and on odd occasions in a fight. Nothing that detracts from the experience though. I loved it.
@below - when did this patch come out? I bought the game over a year after it was released so I'm pretty sure I would have encountered it when I first played the game.
they really arn't that much different. The 360 looks better because it has that shiney look that we usually see with these multiplat comparisons. I think gamers should take these comparisons with a grain of salt, I say gamers, I mean fanboys.
well you said it yourself, it was the trolls and maybe they are right about it not being worth the money. The bottom line is that it's halo and kids would murder their mum for that game, quite literally.

technically it's all they really have now since we can get almost all 360 'exclusives' on PC. I'm not bashing the 360, it's a great console, but it doesn't really offer anything that you can't get elsewhere.
