One good thing - The dashboard. Being able to navigate the whole dashboard hands free is really nice, but not worth paying $150 just for that. Other than dashboard, Kinect hasn't really caught my interest. Unfortunately when I tried Kinect myself, my GF tagged a long and decided to play with Mr. Skittles. By bringing her, I think I'm going to be $150 short in November :(
20-50% off isn't worth the $50 a year if the content that is discounted is something you don't want. I see XBL deal of the week all the time and its usually stuff I don't want, or I already have (which kinda sucks). If they made PS+ give you, lets say like a coupon to get 20-50% off any PSN game or DLC and gave you 2-4 coupons a month along with one PS1 game of your choice price at $5.99, that would be much more tempting.
I don't like the idea of paying for a...
You're right to an extent. PSN does offer free trails but only a select few number of games. Games like Battlefield 1943, Flower (just last week), Death Spank, and a few more but not many. This is one of the great XBL features PSN NEEDS. There are so many PSN games I think I want, but without trying them its kinda hard to tell if its worth it. Oh and those 4 maps your talking about are $15, not $20, but I see your point and I agree with you. I would rather pay $15 for a whole game, than $...
@Hyruis - Does anything positive ever come out of your mouth? Every time I see your retarded ass avatar, I see you hating on something.
That's what I was thinking. The cosmetic damage is downright terrible.
I don't see Sony dropping the price of the current PS3's just to release the same exact system with a bigger HDD. The 250GB slim is $349.99, so I can see a 320GB being $399.99.
I thought L4D2 was great, I got it like 2 weeks after it came out brand new for $40 from Gamestop. For me it felt like a sequel, could have been better but it didn't feel like just an expansion pack. I'm glad L4D3 isn't coming out this year so that way if it launches next year, we will see dramatic changes rather than what we saw from L4D to L4D2. Either way I felt my money was well spent on L4D2 and can't wait for the next one.
360 has more games than PS3, retail and downloadable...wtf is you smokin.
"The PS2 had this technology WAAAY before Xbox, to assume that Kinect is better than the PS2 Eyetoy AND the PS Eye Camera is just plain absurd."
Have you even used Kinect? I've owned both Eyetoy and PS Eye, and tried Kinect out for myself and I can assure you its better than both. Yes it does have some issues that MS need to tweak and fix before it launches in November, but if you think PS Eye and Eye Toy are EXACTLY the same as Kinect your just being plain igno...
Honestly, I prefer Killzone over Halo. Realistically though, Halo has more content and will last much, much longer than Killzone will. Killzone 2 barley holds 5K players daily, Halo manages 100,000+ at all times with over 500,000-1,000,000 unique players each day. The first Halo is the only Halo I really enjoyed, but I did beta test Reach and was surprised that I actually liked it. Either way, its Killzone for me.
Depends on the game really. In RPG games I hate it, because I always end up picking up crap I don't need and have to do tons of sorting. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't.
Because they don't like Demons Souls? Personally I thought the game was awesome, but being as hard as it is, I can see why people might not like it. Its definitely not your standard pick up and play RPG.
Yes.
I just made a level from Limbo as well, then someone commented on it and said it was to hard lol. I thought it was pretty easy :/
Alan Wake was anticipated for a long time as well and look how that turned out. The longer the wait, the quicker the hype dies down. GT5 will not bomb like Alan Wake did, but people been waiting for GT5 for so long lost a lot of anticipation.
You don't have to be 18 to access XBL. There are parental controls the parents should have used such as no message from unknown people. You get a free month of XBL when you sign up, 18 or not. They also sell individual XBL cards and you don't have to be 18 to buy those either. This is an example of bad parenting. Xbox gives parents the option to remove certain features of XBL unless you have a pass code. The parents should have taken advantage of these options, instead of being lazy....

Idiots.
SOCOM definitely had a beta, but it was so bad it was not even playable.
MAG was awesome, the only reason many people don't play it is because of the teamwork. Most games you can be a lone wolf, but the second you have to actually use teamwork and communication to actually win, the game is considered bad. There is more to shooters than just running around shooting people in the face you know.
This generation, because it includes all previous generations of gaming. The more games the better. My most memorable generation though is the PS2 era. While I loved my NES, SNES, N64 etc. SOCOM on PS2 just completely controlled my life......and I liked it.
