Of course it's going to be "the same game." ALL(yes, all) Sequels are the same to the prequel in almost every way. ALL sequels just add stuff to the the previous. It's called Gears 2 for a reason.. Simple. People like reviews because it allows them to say "Hey, look at this game.. it has better ratings than your game!" Not because it allows them to get a gist of the game, and make their opinions from what the sites say.

Like you said, people looking at KillZone2 and saying it's going to own every other shooter game coming out.. just because of the graphics. The graphics look good, no doubt, but if the gameplay sucks, I really don't care how good it looks..
