Well most rpg story games are single player. So if these companies expect me to buy their game for 60 dollars, I expect to get 60 dollars worth of entertainment. I wouldn't be happy paying 60 dollars for an rpg that only lasted 10-20 hours with little to no replay value.
This will only disappoint people who expect it to be more than it is. It's an adventure exploration space game with basic combat. I think it's intriguing. It's not the next witcher or fallout or legend of zelda, it has an appeal of its' own for me.
Mate, I hadn't touched an assassin's creed game since 2, I told all my friends not to buy watchdogs, and the only series I had ever bought from ubi was far cry. But after playing in the closed alpha, I can say that this game is going to turn heads when it releases. I actually have this game pre ordered and I don't even know if it's coming out in 2016.
For those with doubts, as some one who played the alpha, this game is fantastic. I played smite for 2 years and even in it's alpha stages I enjoy paragon more.
I mean can any of you explain to me the excitement behind this? I don't really see the value in most posters honestly.
I don't know...neat? :/ I mean just cause some one gives me a free bag of poop doesn't mean I'll hang it on my wall and appreciate the generosity.
Any idea on a price tag folks?
I think for the NX to succeed they need to give it what the 3ds has, awesome exclusive games from both first and 3rd party studios. Monster hunter? Yup. Pokemon? Yup. Fire emblem? Yup. Kingdom hearts? Got it. Final fantasy? There also. Mario, kirby, super smash, kid iccarus, sonic, and tons of jrpg's.
Now that's a hell of a system.
Nintendo CAN make a good system. But whether they appeal to their fans, or some board of directors and corporate number crunches who only ...
Just got my alpha invite too! Super excited to take a break from smite ranked and try something new.
Right? And I thought the new valkyria chronicles announcement was exciting. Doom news is like boner city.
@smeargle just because there is action oriented combat, doesn't mean it can't be an rpg. Ever played diablo? Or any of the tales games? The witcher? Fallout? Skyrim? Kingdom hearts? If all you loved ff7 for was turned based combat then play the port.
Sadly, consoles can't run the majority of games at 1080 60, let alone on full graphics. Speaking of "eating humble pie."
I'd be much more interested in this game than another assassin's creed personally.
Edit: even as much as I would enjoy an Egyptian setting.
Is Abyss Odyssey worth picking up?
Oh baby.
Wow pleasantly surprised to see yoshi on here! Definitely one of the hidden gems of last year.
That's reasonable. Diablo 3 definitely has a much larger user base than d2 or d1 does now so that makes some good sense.
I know right?
Diablo 2 was so fun.
Need to read better. I was excited to preorder the game for cheap lol.
