agreed, unlocks for a game should be, well in the game.
there once was a time, the stuff you mentioned came in the game free, and wasn't charged for to nickle and dime you. that's why it's a issue. it's the notion of the practice of putting microtransactions in AAA games that causes people problems, because it's a bad sign for the gaming industry if this is the direction it's heading.

So shameful. Microtransactions for easy mode fatalities. Day one DLC skin for subzero for a extra 3$. 30$ for just 4 characters DLC. What bothers me the most about this, one of the DLC characters, tonya is in the game already in story mode. Don't give me this well we haven't fully "finished" her yet crap.
