@Frosty: Yeah, you are full of ****. 1080p is over a MILLION pixels past 720p. That would be over 2x the resolution. I have played on 24 inch, 32 inch, and now a local dimming 42 inch TV and not one of them could I ever NOT tell the difference between 1080p native material and 720p native material. Seriously, you have to chuckle at anybody playing this on anything but the PC. This is probably GOTY along with Dark Souls and U3 and really as far as GFX and open world it cannot be beat. The immersion is just 10x that of when I play these TYPE of games on consoles. Fallout 3 on consoles was laughably bad compared to maxed F3 without mods and just ini/pref edits.

My beloved PS3 has enough games and my PC sadly crushes it like a little grape when it comes to open world games. This is going to be soooo much better on a nice PC just as Fallout 3 and Oblivion were. Never played Oblivion really as this one was coming out but I did see it running a bit and Skyrim just looks 5x better.
Well, if it helps, I have a beastly PC and I think playing with a mouse and keyboard is gay beyond belief. I will try a controller but usually unless they implement it right not even xpadder can get it right enough to compete with the mousers.

Totally agree with everything you said. This game blows. The resolution drop is unforgivable. I cannot even believe fanboys are okay with it. This thing just looks bad imo for a 30fps game. Insomniac needs a serious reinvention of their graphic engine. Besides that, I still thought the game was horseshit. I wouldn't pay 20 bucks for it. 15 at most for the single.

The problem is we are nowhere near the place where we need to be to fit a console that does true 1080p with high effects in a tiny console. My single overclocked 6870 with HIS Ice cooler would never fit into some 399 box and be okay. We need 2 more years and another board reduction for any of this to be good.
Game looks like ass on my PS3. Not interested in this garbage at all. KZ3 and UC3 will get all my time and my beast PC will be getting this for 5 bucks in a bargain bin. Shitty story no doubt as well. Hype kills people and the hype train just derailed. This beta looks awful. The foliage is just fucking bad man.
