Unless its native you will so no benefit from putting resolution at 1080p.
720 native games almost always look better in their original resolution as long as you can get the correct aspect ratio with your monitor. Otherwise 1080p scaling is usually a bit more blurry. I thought though that 1080i killzone was going to be really good didn't the devs say that????

Most of the hardcore has made the jump. Yeah, you just scream balanced fanboy don't you. The PS3 hasn't even hit 20 million, which, the xbox could barely top last generation. I think all of the xbox hardcore have made the jump multiple times to combat one of the worst major hardware failure of any console or PC ever.
The ps2 has 130 million and counting and yet you think you know who the hardcore are after 2 years and a 500 dollar console for most of that period....

Okay, Naughty Dog is my favorite developer (been there since Crash 1) but to keep saying Uncharted 2 is the best looking game is hogwash. Tons of jaggies, tons of screen tearing. PC's kill uncharted when it comes to those things. They didn't have much time to polish that engine and now they have had that time.
Expecting greatness from this, and a better story. The pirates got a bit dull and over the top for my tastes. I know I will not be disappointed.

This is one oversight on the ps3 hardware that should have been fixed. I am so sick of the blur filter, the non AA, and whatever else that needs to be done not being done or implemented properly. Luckily, I don't buy that many games. This is supposed to be next gen hardware. That I have to wait for the PS4 to get 16xAA is ridiculous. Every multiplat game I look at there is just this large blur that makes me look to the PC and go, yeah, I'll play that in 4 years on my PC when I get it.

Sorry I do like Live but the PSN is where I like to be design wise, aesthetically by FAR, and the features are enough for my warhawking I don't even use a mic LOL. Anyway I don't chat alot, not my thing, and maybe Live is better for this but I really don't care. PSN wins because I like the games better. Blast Factor just got an awesome update, Flower and Fat Princess are coming soon, Home is going to be cool at some point, and hey, I really hate that Micro hasn't fixed their console.

So yeah, from what I am seeing a direct comparison of emulated comix zone with numerous graphic filters compared to this actually yields surprising results. The gradations in color look more whole, like a stream, rather than sharp and defined. At least for comix zone it yield a blurrier but ultimately more satisfying picture to the skintones whatever they did for console version. I hope it is sharper than that pic on my screen and I think it will be if that is compressed at...

Agreed, I can barely stand some games on my 1080 24" and that is even with applied Graphics from an emulator. If they can make them look decent I might because of trophies and all but..........
In fact I just finished watching MGS 3, from another person's complete save, in the demo theater. It was nice but 480i isn't and I couldn't bring myself to slog through the jaggy blurrified beast. Oh well. Some people are just fine I guess.
Well the problem is a lot of us are playing all these games emulated with better graphics.
Trophies will seal the deal for the hores but I don't know. I need to see what they look like on my 1080. Games look a lot better at times through SNES/GEN emulators although I would love to use the ps3 pad. I might pick this up. Here is hoping for updated resolutions.
