Ehh I wouldn't say it's back until they can deliver terrifying scares and a compelling story like the old Silent Hill games, fatal frames, old RE's etc. A lot of these new horror games (PC. lets face it, consoles have none) have some genuine scares but either a lackluster story or none at all. I'm looking at you Amnesia and Outlast
Actually the Wii version used the gamecube graphics for the regular story and the PS2 graphics for the extra content. I'd still say that's the best version of the game
These are graphics that Wii U, PS4, and X1 should have been producing. Next gen my ass
Welcome to N4G. Home of the Sony ponies
Stupidest comment I've read all year. Are you a gamer or just a fanboy?
3 years lmao
Atlus has been known to keep working on current gen type titles WAYYY past release of newer consoles. Their first game on PS3/Xbox wasn't until Catherine which was 2011 I believe? Atlus is a niche company and they can't afford to put their titles on PS4 yet until the install base is much larger. Don't expect a PS4 atlus title until 2015 at the earliest.
and fanboys like you are what's wrong with gaming
I don't see how this got a disli- Oh wait! This is N4G.
Gow did revolutionize the cover mechanic. Pretty much everything took inspiration from it. Even Uncharted
Platformers aren't that long. I've completed mario world in little under 4 hours.
What did you expect? 50 hours?
Get Silent Hill 2 on PC. Once you get past the controls it's the best horror experience gaming can offer. You'll have to torrent it though since it's not available on steam and the hard copies are hard to find.
AAA horror sucks nowadays. The indie scene are the only places that offer a horror feel but even then most of them just offer scares and lack storytelling and good character development. The golden age of horror will always be PS1-PS2 era.
Play more games. Preferably the retro stuff. Much more scary
I've never seen a shittier list. The only one that could MAYBE deserve to be there was SH4. Needs more fatal frame and SH2. Can't forget that clocktower as well
Pains me to see ORC, 5, and 6 so high on the list. Revelations at the bottom is saddening since it was an actual good resident evil game. Shame about the REmake and 0 since they were some of the best in the series and RE0 was the scariest overall.
I guess he does have a point somewhat. If it was on Linux or Mac then it'd be different but you ARE playing it on Windows OS. Time to Pirate
A little bit. When I beat a game on an old system I feel accomplished knowing I beat it but with XBOX/PS3 it just feels a bit incomplete unless you get every achievement. I hope for PS4/X1 there's an option to just opt out of them when you turn your system on.
Honestly, Symphonia HD is the last tales game I'm really excited for. Been into the series since 2002 and from what I've seen the quality has certainly gone downhill storytelling wise. It's not dead but isn't at it's pinnacle like when Symphonia came out.
I hope the next game is multiplat on Wii U, PS4, X1, and PC. I love tales but it's one of the series that needs to be multiplat. I dislike having to buy consoles for just one game. Bought a PS3 just for Graces and was heavily disappointed. Haven't got around to Xillia but I hope it's much better.
I've seen more mentions for Lloyd over bayonetta or palutena so he's not on the list why?
