It could end up sort of like Darkfall, where other companies buy the code years later to finish the game.
If you're interested... there are a couple other games that talk about having a "living world"...
Trials of Ascension. Called "dynamic spawning."
Revival. Called "living world."
& Citadel of Sorcery. Called "true questing modules."
Though there's no guarantee that they'll make it out either.
Ouch, it seems to relate lazy people to those who don't want to grind, and I thought that grinding was just really boring.
Really? I've been hearing the opposite... that the games will start to fail if they don't support VR. =)
I mean people now claim to not buy a game because the amount of pixels per cm are low. I can easily see them in the future complaining that a game is only in 2D instead of 3D.
Whether it makes a game more fun or not, people are constantly suckers for thinking the graphics are the most important thing in a game.
Sometimes it's good to be under the radar and underestimated.
Me too.
I have not played single player since the 90s. Not that I have anything against it. I just prefer playing games with friends. It's more fun for me that way.
I remember when single player and multiplayer was considered two different games. So calling a game with no single player a "half of a game" is funny to me now-a-days.
Though they should mention how crappy their single player portion of the game is so those players don't get screwed.
Wow, not one mean thing said about the game yet. Now THAT'S impressive.
Is that the firefly guy?
I actually never heard of Deus Ex.
So it'll all seem new to me.
I think there's lots of debate on that. Isn't there?
Just another way to die. =)
What's Titanfall? =)
Maybe a lot of players are just opting to buy it via download instead of the archaic disk method? More reliable than UPS.
Or maybe people don't want to play a tribes version of CoD?
Or maybe there are enough games to play now that they don't need to buy it right away?
A game has to be trusted to be guaranteed fun in order for players to want to pre-order it so badly. CoD has lost that trust with a large percentage of players. (I mean...
Fun or not, it'll certainly have much more differences than I'm used to in CoD sequel.
Plus the pseudo-jetpacks will make me nostalgic for Tribes. =)
Wow, he didn't mention EQN or Pathfinder Online... sad.
Back to greatness? It's been the top FPS seller for years. Millions of players worldwide play. That's not greatness for a game? What's greatness for you? Perfection?
I think the answer there is "no."
How about real content? How about an expansion? How about actual dynamic qwests?
No? Just new mini pets to buy huh?
Realistic? So players WONT be able to hear people walking a story below them? And explosions in peoples' faces WILL cause them to loose hearing? People WILL scream out in pain when shot? No? Guess we have a different idea of "real" sounds.
Ghosts is my favorite CoD, except for the terrible game modes. The most well balanced for player types.
...and consoles are still ten steps behind PC.
