Personally I think the Wii U is a huge mistake. Nintendo shouldn't be wasting money on this tablet controller, they should have spent that money on hardware improvements. When Microsoft and Sony show their new consoles people aren't gonna care about Wii U anymore. The novelty of motion controls is gone and that is the only reason why the original Wii was so popular. Osed125 - This is where your logic fails. The Wii-U is much closer to the X360/PS3's hardware then previous launched systems. Thus developers should already have a good idea of how to use it. I wouldn't expect games to get that much better looking. It's gonna be a sad day for Nintendo fans when Microsoft and Sony show what the real next gen is gonna look like. You guys just don't aren't grasping this. In consoles there are no CARDS. They are chips, that have been contracted out to Nvidia or ATI to design a powerful piece of technology that can also be cheaply produced. Once the chips are designed Nvidia and ATI usually have nothing more, they might have to produce the first of them contractually or something. You people don't get how these systems are truly designed. Sony and Microsoft don't buy off the shelf parts, they contract the designs out to companies like Nvidia and ATI and have them design a chip for them. Then they take that design and have it fabricated, the price comes from how much they cost to fabricate not buying off the shelf chips. Besides that, there is a difference i price between a chip and a card.
If you have all those degrees you should know that just because 2 gigs might be okay in 2013 and 2014, what about 2016 and 2017 when PC developers are developing for video cards that have 5 - 6 gigs of RAM or more? 2 gigs is a joke and in no way would it be enough to last 6 - 7 years like these consoles have.
Half the games Nintendo showed had already been out on 360 for some time. Nintendos conference was terrible

Games mean more too me then exclusives. And the game MS showed i liked alot better. Halo 4, Splinter Cell Blacklist looked amazing, I love Gears of War, Forza looked alright. Sony showed a couple exclusives I just don't care about such as Beyond, I like playing games, not watching them. God of War looked like the same game as all the others. Last of Us looked awesome, but sitting through that entire conference for that game was a complete waste of time

How did they "beat" MS? At least during MS conference i didn't feel like shutting it off. Wonderbook is a complete waste of time and money from Sony. The Last of Us looked great, but after that they didn't show anything

Funny the same FPS that they name "revolutionized" (don't get me started on this, there are much better shooters out then then CoD) is also the same franchise that has completely worn out the formula. What i think needs to happen is Call of Duty needs to die. Or they need to wait like 3 years before they release a new one and put some innovation into it rather then pump out the same game year after year. Absolute crap is what CoD has become.
