Maybe because it's still missing key features like folders, friend notification options and appear off line mode? You have to wait so long for these features if its annual. And plus, iOS was designed to be noob/old people friendly, they need to be spaced apart updates.

Annual updates for dashboard? It changed 3 times if I'm not mistaken, at least the UI did. 360 had monthly updates too.
I agree with what your saying my only quarrel with the Aussie Govt is that they'll happily increase taxes for the 'benefit of the local video game industry' but turn around and cut all federal funding for game developers in Australia. They're gouging our industry for money but are giving nothing back.
