I don't know why some consider 7.5 to be bad, for me, 7.5 is a midpoint between good (7/10) and very good (8/10).
Yes, in past reviews I have taken points of Destiny 2, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege and Overwatch (the amount taken off varied due to how far they went).
When it comes to debating whether microtransactions in a game should result in a points deduction I primarily look at how much the game cost and how the microtransactions effect the game.
I think a 5/10 for Battlefront II is perfectly reasonable, as I feel it is an average game (not good and not bad). If the multiplayer progression system was tightened up and the reliance on loot boxes were toned down the game could have easily been a 7 or 8/10.
I would also like to add that in my mind a 5/10 doesn't equate to a bad game, for me 3/10 equals bad or poor.
It was a game with a lot of potential. As a Stargate fan, the story just sounded great.
One of the reasons the footage is on a private server is due to me getting my stupid ass and dinosaurs earlier on in my playing, so the footage was a bit stop gap and something I wish I could have done better.
I agree that more time with ARK would have been better, but unfortunately, I had to review ARK quicker than I anticipated due to the fact that I have other games to review. I am tempted to return to ARK when there is another games drought as I really wished I had time...
Thank you for your feedback. I'll make greater strides to improve my reviews in the future.
That is a perfectly wise decision. Seeing the game from multiple angles allows you to become a more informed consumer :).
The only major issue with the game is frame stuttering while driving. It can be mildly annoying and can be unpleasant on the eyes. However, I was made aware that there are some minor bugs they are working on fixing before release.
Thank you :)
Well I'm an idiot. I Never noticed.
The video is now attached.
Stargate suits nearly any video game genre, but I feel that MGM might give up on trying to get the franchise into the video game market. Both Stargate Worlds (the alpha/beta)and Stargate Resistance were both relatively good games that were really hurt by lack of advertisement.
I personally never played SG1 Unleashed, so I'm not sure what it could have or couldn't have been.
The 360 version isn't bad it is just that texture pop ins like the with the fence are really difficult to not notice.
The Xbox One version does look pretty good, from what I saw and played at the Xbox One "The One Tour" event.
Wow, I didn't think people would be interested in reading my article, thank you for giving it a read.
From what I found Arkalis Interactive did a poor job of marketing game coming up to launch. For the article you linked (I wrote it) it took me a good while for them to reply.
Apparently they knew they made some mistakes here and there and have said they would fix them, but I'll reserve judgement until I hear more about the next two episodes.
There was Stargate Resistance, a third person online shooter kind of like Team Fortress 2, but unfortunately the game went under because they didn't sell that many.
There was also the Stargate mmo, Stargate Worlds which never made it to release.
I completely agree porkChop.
Thank you. I'm really into my Stargate lore, so I'm quick to spot Stargate games making lore mistakes.
Am I the only one that doesn't like the gameplay trailer? The trailer doesn't match up with the games story. The story is supposed to be around season 8, but everything being used in the game is at best season 4 or season 5.
Thanks for agreeing with some of my points :).
